Research Interests
My primary research focus is on taxonomic revision and phylogenetic studies of Neotropical praying mantids. At the moment, I am revising some genera of the Neotropical subfamily Stagmatopterinae and plan on investigating the phylogenetic relationships of the subfamily with other Neotropical groups. I am also interested in morphological variation and evolution of male and female genitalia. I believe these structures merit a more throughout investigation because they can be an important source of information for both the evolutionary history of the order and the identification of the different species.
